The Cascade Drainback solar system is SunEarth's
OG-300 certified drainback system. A drainback system is protected
from freezing damage without the use of antifreeze. The water in
the collector array and solar loop piping drains back by gravity into
the CopperStor storage reservoir when the pump stops circulating.
Air replaces water in the collector array and solar loop piping to
prevent freeze damage when the pump is turned off.
The system uses
our popular SunEarth Empire Collectors
together with CopperStor storage
reservoirs.
The Cascade Drainback System with Side-Arm Heat
Exchanger (for Retrofit Installation) is still in the process of becoming certified and
is not yet available as a certified system.
